GeoHalifax2009: Discover Geotechnique
The Canadian Geotechnical Society (CGS), the Nova Scotia Section of the Canadian Geotechnical Society and the Canadian National Chapter of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH-CNC) invite you to the 62nd Canadian Geotechnical Conference and 10th Joint CGS/ IAH-CNC Groundwater Specialty Conference. The Conference will be held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from September 20-24, 2009.
Halifax’s cultural institutions and natural maritime splendour will form the backdrop for the conference’s technical, social and partner programs, promising a combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage. With over 400 km of dramatic coastline, white sand beaches, and one of the world’s largest natural harbours, life in Nova Scotia has always revolved around the sea. Steeped in history, rich in culture, and refreshingly cosmopolitan, for over 250 years Halifax has been a world-class venue for both business and pleasure.
